Great Educational Entertainment
A sea of smiling faces tells the story – these students are having a wonderful time! It’s easy to see why the educational magic of Danny Orleans is included in hundreds of school cultural arts programs across the country every year.
Three different programs for school audiences!
The senses of sight, sound, touch, taste and smell are highlighted through memorable magical moments. Children realize firsthand how their senses function, and sometimes mis-function, as they experience their environment and themselves. A fun-filled show with audience participation, humor and learning.
A fascinating presentation on the principles of misdirection – magic tricks are demonstrated, revealed and performed again, still leaving audiences baffled. This show teaches a greater awareness of the world by expanding the viewers’ own perceptive abilities.
This backstage view of how magic and minds work challenges students by dramatizing the psychology of perception. Mr. Orleans leads them beyond everyday events with mind reading and memory experiments, leaving his audiences pondering where fantasy ends and reality begins.
A former elementary school teacher with a degree in education from Northwestern University, Mr. Orleans has toured the country performing magic in schools, theaters and children’s museums. He has published a Teachers’ Guide, “Magic in the Classroom,” (available upon request) and has written 10 books for children on mastering the art of magic. This series, titled “Ultimate Magic Club,” was published by Scholastic, Inc.
Danny Orleans brings the skills of magician, actor and educator to your school. He leaves behind the laughter and learning long remembered by students and teachers.
"A few years ago, you performed at Glen Hill School in Glendale Heights. Now that I've moved to Melrose Park, I couldn't wait to have your program here. Your "Feel the Magic" program was just perfect for our K-3 students! The show held everyone's interest - adults and children alike - and truly kept everyone on the edge of their seats! Wherever I’m principal, you will 'appear.'"

"When I took over the programming responsibilities, the teachers insisted I have you back. Records show you’ve performed every year at Woodland since the mid- 1990s! After watching your show I could see why. Terrific show! I’ll call you again for next year."

"Thank you once more for visiting The Latin School of Chicago. What impresses me most about your performance is the range of ages that are captivated by your show. Keeping the attention of Kindergarten through 6th graders is not an easy trick. But that’s why you’re the magician!"
The Latin School
"We’ve now completed 4 consecutive years of your Ultimate Magic Club Magic Workshops at the library. Every year there’s a waiting list which speaks highly to your skills as a teacher and a magician. Thank you for being part of our summer program once again."

"I'm so glad you were able to do the June 27th date. The response from the children was obvious, but I was so pleased to receive excellent feedback from the adults who attended your performance as well. I'm really looking forward to working with you again."
Old Town School of Folk Music
"The day camp children really enjoyed your performance and the counselors said it was the best magician we’ve ever had!"
